I came across Imperial Cafe Restaurant completely by accident. I was walking by and the place caught my attention because it looked very clean, pretty and inviting from the outside. I checked the menu and was pleasantly surprised to see that the prices were very reasonable. I ordered the chicken thali, and it turned out to be one of the best meals I’ve had in New Delhi, especially considering the area and the standard of the restaurants on the same street. The rice was absolutely delicious — I believe there may have been curry leaves or something similar adding flavour, although I’m not completely sure. The vegetable dish was simply out of this world, the chicken was very good, and the chapati arrived hot and fresh. I genuinely had no complaints about the food. To finish, I ordered a masala chai. It took around ten minutes because it was made fresh, but honestly, it was worth every second of the wait. The chai was excellent, and they even gave me a chocolate on the house — a lovely little touch. Of course, no restaurant is 100% perfect, and there are probably a few small areas where things could be improved. But taking everything into consideration — the food, cleanliness, service, prices and especially the standard of the surrounding area — this was a really excellent experience. I came here completely by accident and left very happy that I had discovered it. Highly recommended
